Why we are on social media
Our ultimate aim for using social media is to enhance the relationship we have with our stakeholders. Whether you are a Nelson resident or just visiting we would love to hear from you. Connect with us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to access up-to-date, accurate information about Council wherever you want, whenever you feel like it.

We monitor our Facebook and Twitter accounts Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (with the exception of public holidays). If you contact us via social media during these times we will do our best to answer as soon as possible. We may ask you to provide us with more details via phone or email to enable us to action your request

We welcome your comments and encourage discussion but please be polite and respectful. The aim is to maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and any comments which are considered spam, disrespectful, rude, abusive or not relevant to Council will be removed. We won't comment on political issues or get involved in debates.
